  • Many of the refrigeration items you will see come with a variety of temperature ranges, below is a list of the temperature ranges, and the items that best suits this range. So should it be a particular item needed to be stored or display have a look below and see what temperature range best suits. 

Bottled Cans & Beers +1 ºC to +10 ºC

  • There is no set temperature range that these items are to be stored and served at, some customers prefer to have a really cold can of beer in the summer so the lower the temperature range is set the better for them, but there is no obligation of what temperature it has to be unlike other products. 

White Wine +4 ºC to +10 ºC

  • Like bottled beers and cans there is no set temperature that white wine has to be stored at. Generally, dependent on the brand and quality of wine that is being used you will be looking between this temperature range.

Red Wine +14 ºC to +18 ºC

  • With red wine there is a finer margin in order for the storage, a lot of sites for store the bottle at ambient (room) temperature, but for prolong to life of the wine this temperature is recommended.

Fresh Milk -2 ºC to 0 ºC

  • For correct storage of pre chilled foods including sandwiches and dairy products it is recommended to be kept between this range.

Fresh Meat -2 ºC to 0 ºC

  • Fresh meat has to be between this temperature range not only to comply with health and safety regulations but also the blood in the meat will not run.

Fresh Fish -1 ºC to 1 ºC

  • Please note that if storing or displaying fresh fish you need a specific fish refrigeration unit. This is due to the fact that fish gives of ammonia.

Ice Cream -14 ºC to -23 ºC

  • Generally, it is stored between -18º to -22ºC, which many general storage freezers will operate between. When serving ice cream it can range from -14ºC to -20ºC, dependent on the type of ice cream.

Frozen Food -18 ºC to -22 ºC

  • It is recommended to keep frozen products between this temperature range, though some ice cream can be kept as low as -14ºC for ease of serving. Some chest freezers that you will see can operate as low as -45ºC and are suited for medical applications.
